It did not begin as a company. It began as frustration.

Long nights, dim lights, and a question that refused to go away. Why is it so hard for determined people to access the right preparation for exams like the GRE, PRAXIS, and PSW. Not because they lack intelligence. Not because they lack discipline. But because the path is unclear, scattered, and often unfair.

We saw brilliant students working twice as hard just to figure out what to study. We saw people preparing for the GRE overwhelmed by endless resources, PRAXIS candidates unsure of what truly matters, and PSW test takers struggling to connect theory with what is actually tested. We saw people fail not because they were incapable, but because they were unprepared for how the exam thinks. We saw talent being delayed, dreams being postponed, and confidence quietly fading. Not from a lack of effort, but from a lack of guidance.

One story stayed.

A student preparing for the GRE who had done everything right. Studied for months. Sacrificed sleep. Turned down opportunities. Walked into the exam room with hope. Walked out with silence. That is where MeritPreps was born. Not from ambition, but from a refusal to accept that outcome as normal.

We did not want to build just another platform filled with content. Content is everywhere. What was missing was clarity. Structure. Strategy. The kind of preparation that helps a PRAXIS candidate understand patterns, a PSW learner connect concepts to real expectations, and a GRE test taker think the way the exam demands.
